My endo took my son off his liquid sodium when he started eating table food. He was taken off his Florinef for a trial of 2-3 weeks when his renin was undetectable, thinking he may not be salt losing after all. His next blood test came back and he was put back on the Florinef. He hadn't "bottomed out" without the Florinef. He is only a borderline salt waster. We were also told to let him have the salt he wanted. They do monitor his blood pressure at every appointment, every 4 months. I think some kids waste more salt than others.
