I agree because my baby was not doing well with 1.5 ml of salt water (I breast fed). The sodium levels were fine but NOT the plasma renin or OH17 (hormone blood test). He was not gaining weight and lossing weight. I was very scared. The doctor admitted him back into the hosptial and gave sodium IV. I increased the salt water at home (after 1 week on the IV) to 4.5 ml 6 times a day and salted the baby food. Now I think it would have been easier to botttle fed and just put in the salt into the bottle. Also CAH children can have children!! And their children will not have CAH unless they married a carrier(then 1 in 4 chance) or someone with CAH (100% chance). preston@kreative.net
