Hi Kim We have a 10 month old daughter, salt-losing CAH, and our first few months were very stressful. She used to cry all day and night, and it was discovered that she had gastric reflux. We are of the opinion that the CAH medication was causing this problem, even though the medical professionals didn't agree with us. She was put on medication for the reflux and improved out of sight. Suddenly we had a different baby - sleeping through the night, feeding well. When she was 6 months old, the pediatrician took her off the reflux medication, and she went downhill from there. Her weight gain slowed down until it went backwards, she was refusing to eat, and was not sleeping very well. The pediatrician believed the problem was CAH related and admitted her to hospital for 4 days where all tests showed that everything was OK. He didn't have an answer for us. When we went home, I put her back on the reflux medication, and once again she improved almost instantly. She hasn't stopped eating since, is sleeping well, and we have regained out sanity. Apart from this problem, our daughter has had not other illnesses whatsoever. We mix constantly with other children, other children her age have had a number of colds and flus, yet she has had nothing. I would try not to fuss too much over your baby, crying won't cause a crisis (unless of course there is a serious reason for the crying). I am of the firm belief that the CAH medication can cause problems for babies, however with treatment this problem can be overcome quite easily. Best of luck with your child. JenniJenni
