We found out our Nicholas has CAH at 15 months. He is now 19 months. 2 weeks ago he got the stomach bug too. We were trying to give him the extra med but he kept throwing up every 15 min. I am a pediatric nurse and couldn't believe how fast this kid was going down hill. I was scared to death. We ended up in the ER also after 6 hrs he was dehydrated and needed IV fluids along wit the IV steroids. We were lucky he didn't have to be admitted and I was amazed at how well he felt the next day. We have a 31/2 yr old who so far is showing no signs of CAH. But we also had to do the grandparent transfer at 1:00 a.m. I haven't had much experience with this but am learing more every day!
