Re: Another Child

I have a 4 month old non-cah daughter. I also have a 9 year old non-cah daughter and a 7 year old CAH daughter. This last time I became pregnant, I took dex as soon as I found I was pregnant (boy did I blow up, maternity clothes at 3 months). I had a CVS done at 18 weeks which determined non-cah but a carrier, girl. I stopped the dex. After I gave birth, my blood pressure sky-rocketed to 190/110. It is normally 90/50. They had to re-admit me into the hospital and put me on lots of meds to stabilize the pressure. I had to be on the meds for about 2 months. I am now normal. No other side effects. The baby had no side effects. She weighed in a 9 lbs 7 oz, 23 inches long (yes natural!!!). Wonderful little girl, I will never regret having her even though I knew she could have had CAH. Good luck with your decision. Beth
