Sounds like you got the message! You need to be vigilent about meds and danger signs, but you also don't need to live in fear. Error on the side of caution, but you will get to know your child better than anyone. We've given IM shots and found out later that they weren't needed. But better to "waste" the cortef and give your kid a poke than lose them to crisis. I'm surprised that some endos don't seem to take this seriously. In the last 10 years we can see a real change in how it's handled here, and tratement is a LOT more agressive. Like others have said, look at the sites, get things on paper, and do what you know you have to. It's scary, but eventhe smallest hospital in the middle of nowhere can manage this with a simple phonecall to an endo. God bless and have a great New Year!
