My daughter's endo recommends giving a triple dose of Cortef when fever is above a certain point (consult your endo as to what point they recommend) and continuing the triple dosage until fever breaks. Our endo only feels a shot needs to be given in case Jessica cannot keep her Cortef down or if we believe she has broken a bone or has hit her head so that she needs medical attention. These shots are extra boosts of Cortef to help the body deal with "stress". (I prefer the term trama, since my in-laws mistook the term stress to include emotional stress before I corrected them. If that were the case I'd be giving Jessica a shot every ten minutes since we've begun the "terrible twos".)Jennifer
