depression

do any of you notice that your school age children with CAH (ages 6-8) are having any bouts of depression? i don't even know what the "real" signs of depression are, but i've noticed that our 6 year old grandson is not the happy, go-lucky little 6 year old he was. he seems to be sad, moody and not in his usual happy state of mind. is it my imagination or could he be experiencing some depression. i may be reading too much into his moods, but am wondering if children with cah have a problem due to their bodies not producing the hormones or if by chance his medications are off and he just feels "lousy". his next endo physical is in early feb and he sees maria new in may, so i know my daughter will address her concerns to both m.d.'s but wanted to hear from anyone else that has seen any change in their children. i'm just worry-wort nannie, i guess. thanks for your response.
