I have been a faithful reader of this board since February 1999. We have a 13 month-old son who was diagnosed with CAH at 8 days old. This year was tough for us all because he was in daycare and picked up everything from colds to the Roseola virus and 3 weeks of diarrhea followed by vomiting and our 5th hospital visit for the year. However, through all this he has continued to thrive and grow "alot". He is close to 30 pounds and is approx. 32 inches tall. His dad is 6'3" and I am 5'7". Do any of you have kids who grew very well their first year of life? I hear alot about kids being smaller than normal. I am well schooled in bone age, 17-OHP levels and the medications. Our Endo has followed our son and his growth since birth (he weighed 9lbs 7 oz and was born at 37 weeks gestation)and told us that since he is growing proportionally along his growth scale that he is doing well. His last levels were all in line. Do any of you have kids that were 95 percentile for a while and then dropped off the growth chart a bit? Also, are there any kids or adults out there that "seemed" to have reached a "normal" height. I know my child's well being is the most important part of his life, but these are questions our Endo cannot answer. I would appreciate any information on this subject. Thank You!Michele H.
