Mara, I am a mother of 3, two of whom have salt-wasting CAH and were diagnosed at 3 days old. They have been well-mamaged. My daughter is 8 and my son is almost 6. So tell me, what do I have to look forward to? When did you begin taking responsibility for your own meds? Do you ever forget or decide not to take them? What do you do about emergency meds when you are out with friends or on a date? Do you drive? What about emergency meds in the event of an accident? How often do you get bloodwork? Did you have any particular problems with puberty? Can you tell I'm a nervous wreck about the future? I hope you don't mind my questions.
