I agree with you that some things tie into one another. I also have learned that Dr.'s hate to admit that the meds might cause a certain side affect or that the condition might be related to another one. My daughter is currently overweight. I do not blame the Cortef for that. But I have heard from many that it does make you hungry. Therefore she eats. My endocrinologist frequently test her thyroid. She also has an insulin resistance problem which I just learned that later in life she may be prone to diabetes. I did not learn about the diabetes from my endo though. He told me that it was unrelated to diabetes, but when I approached him that a family friend who is a doctore mentioned it, he confirmed to me that later in life it might become an issue. Good luck
