Liz - my heart goes out to you with this decision. Our daughter is only 5 and I'm reading all I can NOW about growth hormones so I can be informed. However, if Dr. New's group is advising against a GH, I would listen. Growth hormones are a potentially dangerous drug. There is even a 'Lupron Victims Network'. It can cause serious problems that have nothing to do with CAH. Obviously, just about any drug can. The steroids we give our children can cause problems. However, it keeps them alive. Read all you can about Lupron and other GH and potential side effects (don't just rely on the doctors or the drug inserts....do your OWN research).
