All the literature that I have (Dr. New's handbook - for example) state to have the solu-cortef with you at all times!!! Please don't wait - call your ped endo now and insist that he call the prescription into the local drug store (don't wait for some mail order or wait for any reason). Have him write the presciption for at least three or four boxes and the needles. Be aggressive!!! Be safe than sorry. Use the injection before you go to the ER - the ER does not just have the solu-cortef lying around for you and the 911 med tech do not carry it with them either and besides they are not allowed to give it. Call them now to ask them if they can give the injection and you will see! Do not find out the hard way. I also have pictures of how to give the injection if you need it.
