I can't beleive that your endo would fight you on this. Our endo always asks, at every visit, if we have enough of it on hand. Our daughter is 9 years old. More often than not the prescription goes unused and each year I have to throw it away at the expiration date and get a new one. That's o.k. with me. I'd rather be safe than sorry. My daughter is very healthy and we've been very fortunate that she has such good health, but I would never jeapordize that by not having emergency medication on hand. CAH is very serious, and you're endo should be INSISTING that you have solu-cortef available and that you know how to use it. I would be very concerned about an endo who didn't insist on this safety measure for dealing with a CAH child.Laurie
