Eileen, so you mean that "if doubling the solu-cortef doesn't perk her up, then you give the solu-cortef injection?" How long do you wait to give the double-dose to work before you decide to give the injection? Are you talking about for all incidents (bad injuries, etc) AND also for just fever-only incidents (no vomiting)? How much solu-cortef do you give, the full dose or do you give any consideration to reducing the IM dose for what you'd just given orally? Also, feel free to share your "scary incident" with us .. we are all trying to learn from each other since so many endos lack in telling us things & have such different opinions on the IM dosages.
