To Kathleen, I have a 14 year old son who was told at his last visit that he could expect a final adult height of 5'4". While he would be looking down at his mother it would not be by that much. I'm 5'3". He was crushed as we were told that he might reach an adult height of 5'7"-5'8". I was wondering about growth hormone. You mentioned that your son gained extra inches. How, if you don't mind my asking? My son has asked me to check all possible avenues for some hope. He has CAH 21 hydroxylase deficiency - non salt wasting. He was diagnosed at 5 years old. I never knew about the NIH study. I was just happy he was being treated and was responding so well to conventional therapy. I would so appreciate any help you might be able to give us. Thank you.Liz
