Hi I am an "old new member" 76years young. Was diagnosed LOCAH when I was 24 years old, by very crude and difficult tests. Started on Cortisone when is first came out. Am now taking Hydrocortisone plus spironolactone. It has been an interesting journey, but I am so grateful to my endocrinologist who have made my life near normal and bolstered my self esteem.. I want to assure you mothers that have to put your little ones on steroids so young,..not to worry..The endos will keep close watch, and what they know today is far greater then when I was young and I never had any life threatening problems.Mary S
