This is dicrimination, do doubt about it. My daughter goes to a snall Catholic school, can you believe it?? I am ver, very, upset about this. There are less than 200 children in her school and when necesarry they utilize the school nurse from the public school. She travels between many elemetary, middle and high school. I did happen to speak to an attorney yesterday at work when I was told this. I happen to be a court reporter so I work with them. He explained Christiand and catholic can basically do what they want. The Catholic school falls under the diocese and their laws. I am going to call another attorney this morning. I will not stop here. Our public school is a very bad school district and I cannot send her there, plus there is no full-time nurse or trained person available at all times. I am most appalled at the Catholic diocese. I have been a Catholic as my family for many, may years and very faithful and for them to just expel a child because she is "sick" is unthinkable. Jesus always helped sick people. My faith is very strong and I know the Lord will walk me through this. I ask that all people pray for us and all children who would endure any type of treatment like this. I think first of all the people in charge of the diocese need to go where it's a lot hotter, and I mean that. I don't beleive this is the way of Christ, maybe the Church , but not the Lord. As you can tell, I have always been very religious and relied on my faith and this is hitting me hard. We are in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania. Thanks and again, any advice would be appreciated and I am calling my personal attorney today. MicheleFrom Michele (original poster)
