Michele, In Canada, as far as I know, there is a protective law, that is called the 'GOOD SAMARITAN'S' act. (I belive)... which would absolve anyone of liability, should they try their best, to save someone's life, in a threatening situation. I would think you would have something similar in the US... I mentioned that, in MY letter to the parties involved in our dispute, and mentioned that their liability would be GREATER, were they to ignore Samantha's needs. (Actually, I subtly hinted at it! ;-) ) I know it must be frightening to take action, should she become ill... but as it's been mentioned before, they have already AGREED, to do so, with a child who is allergic to peanuts, bee stings, etc... so to do less for MY child, was to discriminate, in the worst way. Especially, as she has already had to fight for her life, with cancer. She is JUST as deserving, of the chance to have an education in their school, and of having a bright future, as those children... no more, no less. You are a great advocate for your child (It sounds like your vice principal is, too!)... I know it's hard, to go through all of this, but you, AND your daughter, will be stronger for it, and I'm sure that many people at the school have a new respect, and appreciation for you, and your situation... don't let the outspoken ones, with small minds, waver your spirit. You are fighting for every child who comes along, AFTER your little girl, too... and though you may never hear it... the thanks will be said, by the NEXT Mom... who doesn't have to fight anything more, than her fears, and this damned disease. Best of luck, and keep those spirits up! Janine
