Yes the chemist is correct - they do come in 10mg - but my hospital has a tablet cutter - which cuts the tablets into 4 equal sections - so each 1/4 = 1 tablet, so when the child is ill they will have 2 or 3 (quaters of the tablet) that is the only way - the chemist can cut it for you or you can try and buy a tablet cutter. they cost about £4.95 - £10 but you only have to buy it once. Don't try and cut it yourself as you will get bits everywhere. Also the tablet (10mg) has actually got 4 marking on it and you just put the tablet in the cutter and press and you get 2 even pieces, them cut in 2 again(I see them cut the tablets when I go to collect my prescription). You can also get a syringe (the smallest size)without the needle of course - and pop the table in some previously boiled water just maybe 1.5ml, dissolve the table and syringe in the baby's mouth - do it on the side of the mouth towards the back - and even if they are sleeping they will swallow! - trust me no problems. Good luck. Try and get in touch with CLIMB and they will tell you all about the consultants in the UK.Theresa Greene
