ICQ - is a free instant message center and you can chat with friends on it and it is free and you have to do is download the free web site and then load the buddies by email address.... http://www.icq.com/ yahoo also has an instant message thing and so does aol...and then there are all kinds of telphony (you use a microphone and you can hear the other person - like a free phone call which is good if both of you have a PC which my MIL doesnt' which is maybe a good thing... LOL).
