Hi! My son is 9 and has never had one. When he was first diagnosed at 8 days they told me about the bone image x-ray. They said they would not do one till he was 6 unless he grew really big or something that would make him need it. Starting at age 6 everytime we went I would ask and his endocrine just kept telling me there was no need for it he seemed to be growing just fine. He is now 9 and has never had one.
