Mara, just curious about a few things because my 11 yr old also has non-salt wasting CAH. 1. Even though non-salt waster, do you/did you ever take Florinef? 2. Has weight ever been an issue for you? We are constantly fighting it - and I am convinced it is related to her dose of hydrocortisone. When we increased it 3 months ago her appetite increased dramatically and she has gained about 5 lbs. 3. Does the heat seem to bother you more than most people? Kristin can go out in the summer and turn beet red and perspire doing next to nothing - much more than her friends. 4. Did you play sports as a young child? She plays basketball and softball. She gets so hot and tired and feels bad before she is even 1/2 way through a basketball game. Softball is not as bad because she is not constantly running. 5. Anything else you can think of to tell me about what my 11 year old may go through? Thanks a bunch.
