Kay 1) I've never taken Florinef. Actually, I'd never even heard about it until I started reading this board. 2) I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. I don't know how much is genetic and how much is CAH because my non-CAH sister has had weight problems too. I recently lost about 15 lbs, but I've started gaining it back so I have to be really careful. 3) I have a terrible time in the heat. I turn bright red too, even if it's just warm in the room that I'm in. I have the problem that I tend to pass out when I get very overheated. I even had to break formation at my h.s. marching band's Labor Day concert to go sit down. It was the last thing I wanted to do, but it was that or pass out. I've also had similar instances at softball practice. My endo said that sports drinks like Powerade and Gatorade would help me to handle it better. 4) I've played softball since the 3rd grade. I've never played anything else, I'm a terrible athlete. I do notice that after an especially hot game that I'm absolutely exhausted. 5) The only thing I can think to tell you is to watch when she hits puberty. My levels had been steady for years until I hit puberty (around 12 or so). My dosages had to be changed for the first time for years at that point. Also, don't ever be afraid to let your daughter do something. My mom is letting me go to Peru this summer on a school trip. She wasn't thrilled at first, but she know I really wanted to go. I'll just keep Solu-Cortef and injection instructions with me at all times, as well as let the others on the trip with me know what to do in an emergency. Email me anytime at brassgoddess@hotmail.com
