I see that you have a couple of states that require CAH newborn screening - do you know of any others? I found this one for Alabama - (I just hope that they do the accurately with such early discharges these day - they need to wait 24 hours after birth). http://www.alapubhealth.org/msgframes.htm Alabama Newborn Screening Program--Alabama law requires all newborns to be tested for PKU (phenylketonuria), hypothyroidism, galactosemia, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and hemoglobinopathies (includes sickle cell disease), unless parents have religious objections. The program's goal is to prevent disability and death through early detection and treatment of these problems. Blood tests are taken at the hospital before discharge. Follow-up testing is often necessary and is available at the hospital, doctor's office, or county health department.Roberta
