Kimberly, Those are my questions too. My daughter is two and a half. My pediatrician is awesome. She said at different stages we will sit her down and go through explaining her disease to her. Its a tricky thing. A disease to a small child say 4 or 5 may make them think they are dying. So she said she will explain it to her in different stages. On her level of understanding. So I am going to adress those questions to her pediatrician next visit. I have to say I am concerned with other childrens reaction when she has to get her meds. from the school nurse. It sounds silly, but children feel uncomfortable with medical dealings. They may think she is sickly. Or contagious. So your concerns are real and not prematurely. You are a mom preparing for the best future you can provide for your child.
