I would be cautious of sending the solu-cortef with my child on sleep overs. You probably live fairly close to where she is going and could be there within minutes. Giving a shot is not easy for everyone, and frankly it is not without risk. Given in the wrong place, it can cause mild to severe injuries, including paralysis. The thought that they might have to give the shot might overwhelm them. When our children go on road trips, I will probably handle it differently incase they are in an accident. I can't hardly stand to think about things like that. I tell my daughter's teachers to call me immediately for vomiting or injuries. I have explained to them that she is not like other children in that she can't handle sickness and broken bones without some extra help. I have a cell phone and a pager. I can always be reached.CAT
