Re: something neat

Mara I have heard of these studies and am not sure what to think. I do know that my daughter, soon to be three in May, loves sports like soccer and golf (Because those are her daddy's favorites and she is a big time daddy's girl), and chooses "boy toys" over girls if given a choice. However, I was the same way as a girl and so was my mother. I loved playing with the boys and did not care for dolls. It killed my grandmother, who loves dolls, that my mother did not want them and it killed her again when I did not like them either. Until just recently my daughter would freak out if you tried to get her to hold a doll, but I think it was something about the eyes opening and shuting because she loved stuffed animals. She did get a couple of dolls for her last birthday and christmas and now she loves pushing them in her strollers and feeding them etc. She also plays with the doll house we just got her. However, she does get the baby and the dog characters and drive them around wrecklessly in the family van. She loves trains and planes, too. I just think she is going to be like her grandmother and my self. Oh, by the way, she always has to have her bow in her hair and loves shoes. Sorry for rambling Thanks for the article Tangie
