If I'm remembering my geography right, Spain is not much farther from England than Dallas would be from Tulsa. The farthest we've traveled with our kids is to Harrison, Arkansas which is a four hour drive. I know England has socialized medicine (shudder), does Spain? I would think taking along an instruction sheet from your ped-endo (translated to spanish if possible) to give a copy to the doctor or emergency room in Spain, were something to happen, would also help. I can't help thinking in terms of travel between our states when I think of travel between the different nations of Europe. I know there are different languages, laws, customs, etc. but would the medical facilities vary that much?
