Yes, I take prednisone nightly. Some days are great and others are difficult. At birth I had labial fusion and enlarged clitoris and which they said was due to medications my mother must have taken while she was pregnant with me. I have an older sister who doesn't have CAH. In hindsight there were many problems. Pubic hair at age 9. I was one of the taller ones in my class until I was 11. No period until I was 15. Ovarian cyst at 16. Facial hair after cyst was removed. Now the hair on my head is thinning. I was hospitalized for 10 days when I was 7. Undiagnosed illness, I had been on the beach all day and became very ill. Ruled out meningitis etc,. almost died. My daughter was tested at birth and I was told she doesn;t have it. I took prednisone throughout my pregnancy with her. She was a scheduled Csection at a major Boston hospital and within 2 days after birth had double ear infections and staph. At 4 months she had HIB meningitis and almost died. I always wondered if the prednisone I took supressed her immune system.
