My daughter was born with CAH 5 weeks ago. This message board has been a true God send. I have a couple of questions that I have asked my endo, but would like to hear your valuable opinions. My daughter has reflux, so about once every 2-3 days she will throw up. I know to give her extra Cortef if she throws up immediately after her dosage, but should I give Cortef if she throws up a couple of hours afterwards? I have been giving her half-doses if it happens a couple of hours afterwards and her next dose is not due until 5-6 hours later. I wasn't at the beginning and she seemed to be too tired. Also, she seems to sweat a good bit- it that typical of CAH? Thirdly, she is going in for her cytoscopy on April 4th- could someone tell me how their child did? Is it an outpatient thing? Will she stay at the hospital for a couple of days? I just want to thank all of you for your messages. I have to admit some of them scare me- but it also made me much more alert and aware of my beautiful daughter's condition. I am so happy to hear of your success stories and I weep at your heartache.
