Hi Michelle, My son is six months old with CAH. From birth he was a big time "spitter". He would spit-up (the formula would ooze from his mouth) after just about each feeding. We tried to time the cortef so that it would be given approximately a 1/2 hour before or after his feedings. I only gave him extra cortef if he immediately spit-up after the dose or within about 20 minutes - I did this maybe 3x. With regard to sweating - he is a sweater (especially in his snowsuit he becomes drenched) BUT so is his non-CAH twin brother! This board is GREAT - you will find all sorts of information and lots of support! Hope this helped. Kimberly P.S- Now, at 6 months he rarely spits up. However, since the spitting stopped he began waking up screaming 2 1/2 hours after he went to bed like clockwork! - his Ped. said he has reflux! We give him 1.5 ml of baby maalox at bedtime and that does the trick!
