My son was diagnosed with a bone age of 11 at the age of six. He is now 7 and due for another bone age at the end of this month. We switched endos because of the lack of concern our endo showed when this was discovered. The new endo started him on Pediapred Liquid. It is much stronger than Cortef and it stays in the system longer thus suppressing the hormones better. I was suprised to learn that cortef only stays in the system 20 minutes.
