As to the present case,its a difficult call.On the one hand,you do not want to give too much steroid:it may impair final height.On the other hand,you want to be safe. A physician should never give advice without seeing the patient(unless he knows the patient and family well).It was probably OK to give extra dose,but I would see the MD in order to check on the fainting.Claude J Migeon MD
