Hello to all. I am a 14 year old male with CAH. I wasn't diagnosed until i was seven and as a result of this grew at an accelerated rate and also suffered from precocious puberty. To slow down my growth I was given cortisone and a monthly injection of Zoledex, as well as florinef despite the fact that in am non salt wasting. These have helped greatly and I am now almost back to equal terms with my bone age (15). However, due to the lateness in my diagnosis i have lost a fair bit of overall height, but gained an above average muscle bulk. In regard to some other questions about strength amongst CAH sufferers, I have had very strong muscles from an early age and have enjoyed much success on the sporting field. This has taken its toll though becuase a have sustained numerous injuries and developed a case of spondilolysthesis (a slipped vertebrae) which i believe is related to increased muscle bulk on what are slightly undernurished bones. Also, i have sloppy joints, especially in the shoulders. Si guess i'm wondering if there is anything that can be done in what may the later stages of the illness (ie growth) that may help me and my aching body! :)Steven
