??a HORRIBLE condition!!??

Sorry, I have to disagree. It's simply a medical condition. So is cancer. So is diabetes. CAH isn't curable, but it is certainly treatable. I have a 9 year old daughter with salt losing CAH. She is the happiest and most well-adjusted child you could imagine, and I don't envision CAH playing a major role (in fact, ANY role) in her future happiness. I have 2 older children who do not have CAH. Before my daughter was born - and before we had ever heard of CAH - the decision was made that I'd have a tubal ligation. Now I can't have more children; but if I hadn't decided on that beforehand I certainly wouldn't have let CAH be the deciding factor on future children. CAH is very manageable and it's only horrible if that's what you make it out to be. We control it, it does not control us.
