I have to agree with Laurie. Research has shown that every human is a "carrier" for at least 3-6 genetic malfunctions. If it isn't CAH, it's something else. So every one of us, not just CAH families, could allow our fears to stop us from having the family we want--or we can find life and light and joy all around us. It is our choice how we react--and I think a mother's attitude affects her children's attitudes as well. Again, research has shown that the average family will have a crisis of SOME sort every 5 years or so. So, EVERY family has good and ill thrust upon it, not just us. Living with CAH is not a bowl of cherries, but when you think of the things that COULD go wrong, CAH is a walk in the park.
