Liz, Departing from the general topic of this thread, I really felt for your son. When my son was born with CAH, adult height was my big concern, too. His sister (also CAH)will be 4'8"--5'0" tall, but a short female doesn't face the emotional problem as a short man. I just wanted to tell you--my husband's in the Army, and his last major was just 5'2", and he had the respect of every man in his battalion. He was the fastest runner in his unit, too, regularly outrunning men 15 years his junior and 12" taller. My husband's 5'6" and a captain... and nobody who meets him thinks about his height after the first 2 minutes--he has the tallest personality you'll ever meet =) I've come to believe that the tall guy is disadvantaged, because he thinks he can get ahead by being tall--but the other guys know they have to BE something, and achieve something --and so they excel. Best luck to you, laurie
