I have 3 children, two of whom have salt-wasting CAH. My youngest child (the one without CAH), is the only one who has had ear problems. He is 4 years old and is on his second set of tubes. He also had his adenoids removed about a year ago. Since these surgeries, he hasn't had any ear infections. I must agree that if the tubes are working properly, you should see a decrease in the number and severity of infections. Maybe it's time to consult another ENT. Also, I often must remind myself that my CAH children are no more prone to illness or infection than my non-CAH child. However, it is their inability to handle the stress of an injury or illness that makes them more vulnerable and fragile.concerned mom
