I have a 16 month old son with salt wasting CAH. In the last six months he has suffered from five ear infections. His ped thought that maybe it has just been a bad winter for all of the kids since he really has not had a problem in the past. We are hoping that he will out grow these ear infections instead of having to put tubes in his ears. My two other children did have ear infections until about the age of two and then nothing after that. One thing though, when my son does get an ear infection his ped will give him an injectable antibiotic and he is back to his old self within 24 hours. Then we follow up with ten days of oral antibiotics.(We experienced an adrenal crisis last October because of an ear infection which is why we don't mess around with the oral antibiotics unless we know he is on the mend)Barbara
