When I was pregnant, my husband and I opted not to have the CVS done for 2 reasons: the first was the increased risk of miscarriage (we had tried for 9 years to have this baby, and weren't about to take any undue risks!), and the second was the fact that the only advantage we could see in the earlier dianosis was that it was done early enough into the pregnancy that an abortion could be performed (this was unacceptable to us). Thank God I stayed on the dexa: our CAH affected girl was born with absolutley NO abnormalities inside or out!
