I agree with not stress dosing for "simple" insect bites. For stings(bee, wasp, etc.) I would stress dose. It cannot hurt especially if you are not sure if your child is allergic. The hydrocortisone could only help. For a non-CAH person it helps decrease swelling, itching and possible anaphylactic-type reactions. Anyone got any advice about sunburn--stress dosing, experience? I asked our Endo last year and he said "buy sunscreen". DUH!!! I am not an idiot! What if our son gets burned anyway? Please advise! My thinking is that severe sunburn is a stress or trauma to the body-just like being burned by a fire, and we should stress dose!! Anyone got an Endo who does not make fun of such a question? Thanks
