Hi, guys! just got off the phone with my peds endo, and thought I'd toss this out to you all. What time of day do you get your blood draws? Our peds endo's (2 working together) insist on 8 AM draws, with the patient FASTING (water OK) and NO MORNING MEDS. They have found that they get the most reliable blood draws that way, whereas draws done at random times of day, with varying levels of cortisol/florinef can skew the numbers dramatically and show under or over suppression. Karen's draws have been 100% more reliable using this protocol. It's a new protocol, and my doc thinks that few other docs are following it yet--just wondering how you do your draws? laurielaurie
