Thanks, Jamie for the prayers and the advice. I am worrying, as usual! We did check with the endo; since I didn't know how they were going to give him a stress dose through the IV; but, it was solucortef, and they are, thankfully, starting the IV after he is put under. The endo said, that, if he was in pain for the 24 hours following, to stress dose him for that time. My endo is also (yeah!) switching us to the Cortef pills, 1/2 5 mg tablet 3 times a day, with levels checked in 6 months. I don't know how we are going to get him to wear ear plugs; he is so strong, and I didn't even THINK about the pool this summer! Bummer. Let me know if the head band works. I would hate for Thomas to miss out on summer pool time! Even here in Indiana, it does get hot! Thanks again for the advice and prayers!
