And you will know from reading this board ... that there are several of us who have had a child die from an adrenal crisis, all in the course of less than 24 hours from illness onset to death (myself, yes, 3 year-old twin salt-wasting daughter in June 1999). You will learn that this board is a godsend, being many physicians and endos are not truly familiar with this condition. You will know that an ER physician may not have any clue about how to treat your child in an emergency (so you should have a sheet of instructions telling an ER how to handle things).
