3 year-old salt waster takes 10 PM cortef and rests until 11;15 PM. Wakes up at 11 PM, shivering (no fever yet) and throwing up. We give Cortef injection; child continues to throw-up until mid-night. We use the suppository (don't know what it's called) to prevent vomiting. Child continues to vomit until 1:15 until dry heaves. We took him to emergency room where they took electrolyes which were fine and put him on IV. Did we over-react?
