My 9 year old daughter has always had a very loose schedule, we don't adhere to set times for her pills. She often sleeps until 10:00 on weekends and school vacations and she takes her cortef when she wakes up. Every child is different so I don't know how your child would react to this schedule. I only know that for my daughter it has never created a problem and we've done it this way all of her life.
