As Amanda's surgery nears, in case you can't remember, she had to have surgery to make a new urethral opening as hers has shifted and is now opening into her vagina, this is on April 4, I find myself worrying so much about how she is going to handle it phychologically. It's got to affect them some way, she is a tender 8 years old, and is very aware of the pubertal changes going on to early in her body, and I just wonder if it will affect her, being that everyone is always looking "down there". It's got to feel violating in some way. I have explained that it all medically needed, and she does seem ok, but embarrassed, am I over reacting? You all are such a wonderful support..that I thought its ok if you tell me to chill out. Maybe it's just me and I am being a nervous mother.!! Eileen
