My 1 year old daughter has "mild" CAH and takes 2mg of hydrocortisone three times a day and has done since she was 2 weeks old. We have been very fortunate and have experienced no adrenal crashes or other mishaps. Her 17OHP levels have never been wildly elevated, and even upon diagnosis were only 2-3 times "normal". I understand that this dose of hydrocortisone is pretty standard for children of her age. I would be interested to know if anyone has or has had a child of a similiar age who has been able to take a lesser dose of hydrocortisone and if so how you came to work out what the right dose is. While not wanting to put her a risk, we are a little anxious that she may be taking more than necessary given her "mild" status. Your comments would be appreciated.Danielle
