I'm gonna try the EMLA cream for Marissa's blood draw tomorrow. Unfortunately, the directions on the tube do not tell how much to use for an infant. Marissa is 6 months old and weighs about 16 pounds. Anyone know how much cream to use? I have a call in to her pediatrician for this info, but I'm sure they will need to research this as EMLA cream is not used very often. Also, I got the EMLA kit with the Tegaderm. Any good tips out there on the best way to apply these. I would like to use the cream on both arms and her ankle because she is a hard stick and I never know where they can get the blood from. Has anyone cut the Tegaderm patch into smaller patches and did it work? Any helpful tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Thanks!!
